WACRRA welcomes all research species including, but not limited to, aquatic animals, avian species, lab mice, lab rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, cats, dogs and many many more!

The Washington Adoption Center for Retired Research Animals (WACRRA) recognizes that regulated animal research has contributed to significant medical and veterinary advances globally. We also believe that animals who are eligible for retirement deserve continued compassion and the opportunity to be adopted into loving forever homes. Our mission exists to support second chances while promoting accurate, balanced public understanding of biomedical research.
